Zimmerman Not Guilty-Protests Across US

On July 14,2013 George Zimmerman came out as a free man from the Florida courthouse after jury declared him 'not guilty'-in fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager(Trayvon Martin).

What actually happened?
On 26 Feb,2012 George Zimmerman was patrolling the retreat at Twin Lakes,as a part of neighborhood watch he had founded. Trayvon Martin(17 year-old) was walking back home,by the end of their encounter the 17 year old was dead.
The facts are debated. Zimmerman's brother said the former neighborhood watch volunteer had acted in self defense.
Jury found him not guilty of a second degree murder late saturday.

People's reaction?...

With the unexpected verdict peaceful protests were demonstrated in Florida,Milwaukee,Washington,DC and elsewhere.
Some protests even turned violent breaking police vans.

Various celebrities have reacted-Beyonce called at Nashville concert for a moment of silence.Rapper Young Jeezy released song in memory of Martin.
Debates over racial-profiling and self-defense are happening all over.

President Obama has spoken out-" We are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken ".

Now what ?...

It is very ironical where United States has elected Obama as the President twice but still has not saved itself from such racial issues.

With such vast protest against the court's verdict-Zimmerman's freedom maybe be limited.
