SANJAY DUTT-GUILTY ?

Sanjay Dutt on 21st March,2013 was sentenced by the Supreme Court of India for imprisonment-in possesion of illegal arms case-relating to 1993 Mumbai bomb blast
He has been asked to surrender within four weeks.
Personally,I am not happy! So before any verdicts, let us get the facts open.

The Charges Are ?

Terrorist Interactions-Illegal possesion of an AK-56 assault rifle-On 19 April 1993 he was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act(TADA).
Dutt spent 18 months in jail, then bailed by the Supreme court.
In 2006,the prosecution said Abu Salem delievered 9 AK-56's and some hand grenades to Dutt at his Bandra residence.

Dutts Confession !

Accrding to Dutt's confession,he had bought a pistol from Dawood Ibrahims brother in Dubai.
Also,on record has said that his family members were recieving death threats, being young-hot blooded he bought weapons in order to protect them.

The Scenario Now Is

Dutt has said to the media that he is searching for all legal options available. The court says the circumstances of the crime are so serious that he cannot be released on probhation.
Support for him is from all sides-Fans,Bollywood.Politicians.Ex-Samajwadi party leader Amar Singh said he would meet the Maharashtra Governer to seek pardon.Actor Jaya Bachchan said the same.
Dutt has already spent 18 months in jail in 93',remaining he will spend now.

Is he guilty?-Is this a real victory for the nation?-Is Dutt the one you want to see behind bars ?

Yes he is Guilty,no doubt-No it is not a victory-No "I DONT WANT TO SEE HIM BEHIND BARS".
The judicial system is right on convicting him.It is the right thing to do.But,are they blind ?
Is the CBI/Govt Agencies blind and handicapped?
Most of the prime accused in 1993 blasts are still out on the open. The real terrorists are still out there.People
ranging from local MP's and international terrorist/mafia are roaming-On charges like murder, frauds, corruption etc. There are well number of cases in every state, with enough evidence still those guilty are not convicted-Why?
Why are people like these(ministers-involved in scams or international mafia) being not handled the way they should be.The Judicial system proves that it is in-consistent,and Dutt's conviction may have been a right thing to do,but was not  "Justice to the nation".
I applaud the court for the decision, but do not expect this to be the main focus.I want the court to catch the main accused,"the people actually behind".

Verdict ?

Dutt convicted-Justice   Main Accused-Not convicted-No Progress on conviction- WHY??

Movie-'JOLLY L.L.B'

Among the new Indian movie releases is 'Jolly L.L.B'.A satire based on the indian judiciary system,it proves to be a movie which will make you laugh,at the same time make you think.

Cast : Arshad Warsi,Amrita Rao,Boman Irani

Rating: 7.5/10

Review: The film is about a high profile hit and run case. The case is shown to be manipulated and won by rich people(which are clearly guilty). The guilty is backed by a high profile lawyer Rajpal(Boman Irani).
Jagdish Tyagi(Arshad Warsi) is a small town lawyer who recently shifted to Delhi in hopes of a better career.
He on reading about the case, feels opportunistic and files a Public Interest Litigation. The appeal proves to be luke-worm before an unknown eye-wittness comes up.
Rest of the movie is based on court-room and off drama between Jagdish and Rajpal. The film shows how Jagdish gets stunned(and counters) by experienced lawyers like Rajpal and their dirty tricks on the system.
The film also very well shows the lack of system efficiency. It shows how Judges,Advocates,Police-men etc are all a fail at some point.
The second half is more paced and interesting. The movie ends perfectly, and showcases both sides of the Judicial system. The last 20 minutes are quite historical.
Performances by all actors are good.

Verdict: A must watch !
