Whats up with WhatsApp ?

Well, the Facebook's take over of the messaging giant WhatApp is the loudest buzz currently.Mark Zuckerberg bought the company for $19 Billion, but says it is worth a lot more due its capability to expand and increase its users.

Recently there had been a WhatApp crash, what was all that about ??

Firstly, the crash was due to a network problem.Jan Koum personally apologised-

"We are sorry about the downtime. It has been our longest and biggest outage in years. It was caused by a network router fault which cascaded into our servers. We worked with our service provider on resolving the issue and making sure it will not happen again".

There also have been rumours of WhatsApp becoming a totally paid messanger. That is not true, just some random word spreading around.

The latest buzz is regarding privacy issues. The European Union has stated that there might be probes into how the Facebook-WhatsApp collabration is gonna use the treasure of client data.
This biggest internet aquisition is gathering interest from authorities.

NOKIA ANDROID PHONES

Nokia has finally released its Android series of mobile smartphones-Nokia X,X+,XL.
Well, these smartphone not exactly work on pure Android OS but a Nokia platform based on it.Previously we has seen how Amazon makes variant form of Android in its series.

They call it Android Open Source Project.

The Nokia X is a entry level smartphone. It will cost INR 7600/89 EUROS.The X+ will be around INR 8500/99 EUROS having more storage capacity. The XL will cost around INR 9300/109 EUROS.Both these will come out in second quarter of 2014.

The X family looks really exciting with good hardware and range of colours. But,there are some small drawbacks-no Google Play access for the users.
For me this is a big minus point !Nokia says the source for apps should be Nokia Store.Nokia is restricting many of Google services. It says it will focus more on Microsoft services like Bing search,Skype and OneDrive.

The X family will be dual-sim phones and will have Qualcomm SnapDragon processor. It will also have many pre-installed apps-BBM,Vine,twitter and others.

VALUE FOR MONEY-MOTO G

Motorola and Google have released their latest smartphone-Moto G.The device is a budget smartphone attraction and certainly lives upto the performance.
Though Google and Motorola have parted, this device is a amazing product from them.

The phone for a fact is very comfortable to hold and gives an amazing rich feel. You won't believe the phone is just for INR 15k.It is available in two variants-8GB and 16GB.

The specs-The phone comes with a 4.5 inch display screen,a 1.2 Ghz quad core CPU and 1GB of RAM.It also has a 5MP camera.Battery tested was 18 hours. It comes installed with Android 4.3 OS Jelly Bean.

The Good-Firstly the screen quality is really rich as compared to its counter-parts.It is very detailed with resolution of 720p.The performance really top-notch almost as good as Nexus 5 and Galaxy S4.

The Bad-The phone is almost perfect. The only problem thatI noticed was no expandable memory.Cloud storage is there for further storage. Also, the camera quality is not that impressive.

To give a verdict, the Moto-G smartphone is an excellent choice for a budget smart-phone.It has great value for money and gives smooth performance.
You will never regret buying this phone !

SATYA NADELLA-A VICTORY OR LOSS FOR INDIA

The recently appointed CEO of microsoft Satya Nadella has created a significant buzz throughout the world.
The fact that he is a product of India raises a question-Should we be proud that he is our gem or regret the fact that it belongs to others ??

Now we all are deeply proud of him.We should be,but isn't this the perfect example of Brain-Drain ?
Nadella who did his schooling from Hyderabad and college from Mangalore University, eventually ended up in the western comfort.

The question-Why does this happen?-Are we that neck deep in debt of resources?

Nadella went the Unite States after his graduation to pursue higher studies. He was interested in the Computer Science program which was not available here in India.

So does the simplest answer lies lack of Universities or Education ? Perhaps not !
The opportunities available outside are far more. Not just in numbers but also in quantity.Nadella has worked for Sun Microsystems before he joined Microsoft in 1992.
Nadella before becoming the CEO was the executive vice-president of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group. Before that he has earlier held various other key positions.

Though Nadella is US citizen now,his relatives and close say that he does visit his mother-land twice a year.He is a very kind and helping man.He is fan of Indian poetry and the game of Cricket.
In a recent interview he explains how the game of Cricket gave him the essential leadership skills.

No one can be held responsible at the end-"Is the choice of the individual??or Is it the system/government/circumstances the forces one to drain ??"

Social Media-Changing Politics

The last 2-3 years have change the world dramatically. The media has a new front-'Internet social media'.
The conventional media sources-paper and television have proved to be losing its affect on the minds and prospective of the people.

Everyday,every-hour or every-login to a twitter/facebook account leads to a new prospective.People share their thoughts direct and candid. The part that gives the stamp is-"People believe people, not a reputed reporter."

This amity of human thoughts through the web has landed very benificial and revolutionary for the society.

Looking at the New Delhi scenario-The Kejriwal support is a beautiful example of the social media. The constant targeting of Mr.Kejriwal by the television media was very bold and visible.People could see how different prospectives can change the whole angle of the issue.

But,what the media channels forgot was that this isn't the same old India.People are more connected than they ever were.Website like Facebook,Twitter gives them the actual truth, the neccessary truth.
People stood in support of their leader.

They were not baffled by the double-standard media, they had the truth visible out on the web-The people's truth-their word !

People see and listen  what other people have to show or say."Now its not about one man's point of view, its about everyone's".

I no longer believe what reporter XYZ has to say,I believe in my friend's word about whats happening in his area or what he's experiencing.

This trust in others away from a single source gave people hope and belief-"Most of all it gave a great sense of Integrity".
Also wide awareness is also building due to this.

Social media has almost proved as a funny way of God bringing people together. The extent of which is infinite-both ways !
